Honda Siel Cars India today launched the new Honda Civic with sunroof. The new car was unveiled in the presence of Bollywood personalities and received a huge applaud. The sunroof was added post customer's feedback who chose this feature to be the most desirable one in this car. The sunroof offers the new Honda Civic a panoramic effect making it to appear larger and brighter. The company has also added a new shade to its color scheme, Urban Titanium to spruce up the car a bit more.

September 15, 2010 - If you are going to buy a Honda Civic, then it is the right time to go for it as its manufacturing company, HSCI, has launched special edition Honda Civic for the festive season. This special edition Honda Civic is added with special edition badge, trunk spoiler, side step illumination and rear windscreen sunshade. The company has unveiled the special edition car to celebrate the Grand Honda Fest, an annual Honda event.

Honda Siel Cars India Ltd. (HSCI) has re launched its popular sedan model Honda Civic with enhanced features. These features are steering mounted cruise control system that helps to cruise at desired speed with one touch operation that enhances the comfort and convenience of the driver, turn indicators at ORVMs that makes the vehicle more stylish, and back-up sensors for hassle free driving in reverse mode.

Overall

Honda Siel Cars India (HSCI) has launched the newer version of its popular premium sedan segment model Honda Civic with some new exterior features and some interior cosmetic changes. The newer version of Honda Civic is more stylish than its older version and its front look has been enhanced with its stylish grille, fog lamps and sporty headlamps. The all new Honda Civic is available with three variants - Honda Civic S MT with manual transmission gearbox and Honda Civic V MT and V AT which is available with manual and automatic transmission option respectively.

The current Honda Civic, which was first introduced as the 2006 model year, is available now as Honda Civic S MT, Honda Civic V MT and Honda Civic V AT. All the three variants of Honda Civic are powered by a i-VTEC 1.8-litre, 4 cylinder, 16 valve, PGM-Fi petrol engine, which pumps out maximum power of 132 Ps at 3200 rpm and produces a peak torque of 17.5 kgm at 4300 rpm. Honda Civic S MT and V MT variants are mated with a five speed manual gearbox while the top end V AT variant comes coupled with 5 speed automatic transmission with paddle shift. The new Honda Civic has got front ventilated disc and rear disc brakes along with front McPherson Strut and rear double-wishbone type suspension. The car has power steering and tubeless 15 inch alloy wheels as well.

Honda has also introduced two accessories packages Elegance and Inspire with Honda Civic. The Elegance package offers rear door sunshade, Illuminated Side Step Garnish and Door Visor while the Inspire package offers Front Under Spoiler, Trunk Spoiler, Rear Under Spoiler and Side Under Spoiler. The fog lamps are optional in S grade in the Elegance and Inspire package. The all new Honda Civic is a luxurious sedan model which has lot of advanced features to offer to its potential buyers - new i-VTEC engine, new aerodynamic design, more grandeur, increased interior space, and of course, top-notch performance.

For the Elegance package (without Fog Lamps) you need to pay Rs 24,000 extra and Elegance package (with Fog Lamps) you have to pay Rs 40,000 extra. For Inspire package (without Fog Lamps) you need to pay Rs 65,500 extra and Inspire package (with Fog Lamps) you need to pay Rs 81,500 extra.

The new Honda Civic additionally sports features such as leather seats, front fog lamps and turn indicators integrated into outside rear-view mirrors. The front fascia of the Honda Civic is aggressive and sporty; it has smoky headlights, metallic front grille, aerodynamic front bumper in body colour and front fog lamps. The electronically retractable ORVMs are also in body colour and now integrated with turn indicators. The door handles and door protectors are also wrapped in body colour; however V MT/AT variants come with chrome door handles and body colour door protectors with chrome insert. The green tinted front windshield features 3 speed intermittent wiper that is opposed flat-blade type. The rear side of the Honda Civic has eye-catching attributes. The compact rear end has Octo combi tail lights and dual exhaust pipes that look funky. The rear side look can be enhanced with Inspire package that offers three types of spoilers.

The latest Honda Civic are dressed with steering mounted controls, CD/MP3 player with AM/Fm player and 6 speakers. The other interior features include fabric and leather upholstery, beige and black interior colour combination, map and cabin lights, digital multiplex meter with illumination control and information display with trip metre.

Mileage, Average and Fuel Economy

The Honda Civic is available with petrol engine with both manual and automatic transmission options. The all new Honda Civic is powered by the new 1.8L, 1799cc, i-VTEC, 4 cylinder, petrol engine with five speed manual transmission gearbox. The 1.8 litre petrol engine develops a top power of 132 Ps at 6,300 rpm and churns out a peak torque of 17.5 kgm at 4,300 rpm. With PGM-FI (Programmable Electronic Fuel Injection) technology powering its fuel supply system, it offers higher engine performance with better fuel efficiency. The MT variant of Honda Civic offer mileage of 10.8 kmpl in urban roads while on highway it gives 15.5 kmpl which makes it the most fuel efficient car in its segment. On the other hand, another variant of Honda Civic which is packed with automatic transmission gearbox offers mileage of 8.9 kmpl mileage in city and 13.1 kmpl mileage on highways.

The Honda Civic is powered by a 1.8 litre, 1799cc, i-VTEC, 4 cylinder, petrol engine that pumps out a top power of 132 Ps at 6300 rpm and develops a top torque of 17.5 kgm at 4300 rpm. The car is incorporated with a five speed manual and 5 speed automatic transmission with paddle shift (only with V AT variant). Honda offers the option of both manual and automatic gearbox and you can choose one of them according to your requirement. With automatic gearbox you can have fun while driving in city or on highways but it will reduce the mileage and add a little weight while the MT version ensure higher fuel efficiency and engine performance. The i-VTEC technology works for engine performance at high speed by controlling air-fuel intake valves and exhaust valves.

The Honda Civic comes loaded with a 1.8 litre, 1799cc, 4 cylinder, SOHC, i-VTEC petrol powerplant that offers maximum power of 132 Ps at 6,300 rpm and offers a top torque of 17.5 kgm at 4300 rpm. The Civic is mated with a five speed manual gearbox and the AT version is coupled with five speed automatic transmission with paddle shift that helps to get more realistic acceleration. The i-VTEC technology plays a very important part to enhance engine power, fuel economy and performance. Honda Civic takes only 4.7 seconds to go from 0-60 kmph while to cover 0-100 kmph acceleration, it takes double the time.

Exterior Appearance

The Honda sedan, Honda Civic possesses aggressive and sporty exterior whether it is its front view or the rear side view.  The front fascia of the Civic is designed with sporty components that look amazing when cars moves in the city traffic. The nose of the car is designed with smoky headlights, metallic front grille with centrally positioned Honda logo; front lower grille comes at the center while the both ends have fog lamps. The Honda Civic comes with sporty outer appearance and competes with the likes of Chevrolet Cruze, Skoda Octavia and Skoda Laura. The Civic is a little smaller in size compared to the Cruze. The overall length of the Civic is 4545mm, width 1750mm and height is 1450mm. It has got 2700mm of wheelbase and 170mm of ground clearance. The kerb weight of the Honda Civic is 1240 kg that is very much less than the Chevrolet Cruze.
