The most talked about and much awaited car Maruti SX4 Diesel has finally been launched today. The sedan is equipped with the powerful Super Turbo DDiS engine which is capable of delivering 90PS of peak power at 4000rpm. Maruti SX4 Diesel offers fuel efficiency of 21.5 Kilometres per litre. Maruti SX4 Diesel Vdi is available at Rs.7.74 lakh , however Maruti SX4 Diesel is priced at 8.62 lakh in New Delhi.

India’s car market leader Maruti Suzuki has unveiled the Demo Maruti SX4 and Maruti Eeco Charge Electric concepts that are to be used in Delhi Commonwealth Games, 2010. Both the vehicles were displayed at Delhi Auto Expo, 2010. The new Maruti SX4 hybrid is packed with a 1.2 litre K-series petrol engine and a 50 kW electric motor which are mated to a five speed automated manual gearbox. The car can be run only on electric motor mode that enhances fuel economy and emits zero emissions. Added to that, the car is cheaper by up to 25 per cent than petrol one when hybrid mode is selected. The commercial launch of the car might take place in the near future as well.

Maruti has come up with a CNG fitted Maruti SX4 variant in India to win hearts of mileage conscious car lovers. The car has been equipped with advanced CNG factory fitted kit which promises overall engine performance to be higher, especially the mileage and power. The SX4 is priced at Rs 7.47 lakh (ex-showroom). The kit comes loaded with i-GPI technology that is safe, reliable, clean, responsive and environment friendly.

The all new Honda Civic is available with three variants - Honda Civic S MT with manual transmission gearbox and Honda Civic V MT and V AT which is available with manual and automatic transmission option respectively.

The current Honda Civic, which was first introduced as the 2006 model year, is available now as Honda Civic S MT, Honda Civic V MT and Honda Civic V AT. All the three variants of Honda Civic are powered by a i-VTEC 1.8-litre, 4 cylinder, 16 valve, PGM-Fi petrol engine, which pumps out maximum power of 132 Ps at 3200 rpm and produces a peak torque of 17.5 kgm at 4300 rpm. Honda Civic S MT and V MT variants are mated with a five speed manual gearbox while the top end V AT variant comes coupled with 5 speed automatic transmission with paddle shift. Ford Figo shares its key elements of Ford’s kinetic design with its other stable mates like Ford Mondeo, Ford Focus and the recently launched European Ford Fiesta. The vehicle gives a standard mileage of around 12.5 kmpl mileage in the city while on the highway it offers mileage around 15.5kmpl. The engine also meets with BS-IV (Bharat Stage - IV) emission norms.

On the other hand, diesel variants of Ford Figo are powered by Ford’s popular 1.4L, 1399cc, Duratorq diesel engine which has gained popularity since it delivers excellent drivability and fuel economy. The diesel variants of Ford Figo are loaded with Ford’s popular 1.4L, 1399cc Duratorq diesel engine that delivers 69 PS of maximum power at 4,000 rpm and produces a top torque of 160 Nm at 2,000 rpm. Colors

Ford India has announced the pricing of its small wonder, Ford Figo, recently and now the promotional activities and booking is on. Exterior Appearance

Ford Figo has joined the race of automobile giants to become the no. 1 in the Indian auto market. The competition between the car makers has just become tougher since Ford Figo not only is reasonably priced but is appealing too.

The front of the Ford Figo looks balanced as all the features are added in a specific way. The headlight cluster is big and bold with bright lights. The distinctive human-eye shaped headlights  come with halogen headlamps and turn indicators which are clearly visible during any part of the day. The turn indicators are placed above the headlight. The car features a fog lamp slot at both sides at the front . These fog lamps can be incoprporated in the car at an extra cost.

Upper grille is kept slim to give it a totally different look while 'Ford' logo is placed centrally at the grille. On the other hand, the lower grille of Ford Figo is large and aggressive. The fog lamps are fitted in a round shape in 'U' casing, separating it from the lower grille. As a result, the size of the front bumper is reduced largely. Curves and flow lines are clearly visible and look attractive.

Side view mirrors and door handle bars are painted the same as the body color and enhance the sporty look of the Ford Figo. The front and the rare bumper is body coloured . Turn indicators in rectangular shape are also placed below the side view mirrors. It means that the OVRM has not provided with LED turn signals. A sleek antenna can be seen at the middle of the front side of roof. Rain sensing wipers are placed at the front windshield.

The rear of Ford Figo is also well-decorated that turns your head. To give a wide opening to the rear hatch, taillights are made in vertical shape. The vertical stacked taillight cluster comprised of brake light, turn indicator and reverse light. The taillights stretched to the rear end of the roof but started from the middle of the rear hatch. A LED brake light display is also added at the rear end of the roof. Rear window wiper, rear window washer and rear window defogger are also finds their place nicely. The instrument panel includes the tachometer, digital clock, digital odometer and two tripmeters. The driver seat is an adjustable one which is a rare feature in compact cars in India. The power steering wheel in Ford Figo has three spokes. Cup-holder at front seat is provided. The audio system is advanced and can be operated by a remote control. Ford Figo, is blessed with a good air conditioning and heating system to provide comfort and luxury at the same time. Ford Figo is equipped with efficient braking system. The front has a ventilated disc brake while the rear one has drum brakes, something that is found in all the B Plus segment cars in India. The top-end variant of Ford Figo is also added with ABS and EBD.

Anti-lock barking system (ABS) comes coupled with Electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD) or Electronic brakeforce limitation (EBL). ABS is responsible for preventing wheel lock-up under heavy braking which ensures no skidding while EBD promises more or less braking pressure to all wheels with a view to increase braking power along with balancing control.
